JOHN SELLMEYER ('02), Assistant Coach

John Sellmeyer is in his second year as an assistant coach with the East Syracuse-Minoa baseball program. While spending the majority of his time with the varsity team, he also serves as a "roving instructor," working with catchers, outfielders and hitters at the Junior Varsity and Modified levels. Coach Sellmeyer earned two varsity letters at catcher for the Spartans, then proceeded to play two seasons with the Blue Devils of Fredonia State University (Div. III). He subsequently graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance. He also holds a Master's degree in the same discipline from Fredonia State.

GREG GALUSKI ('05), Junior Varsity Coach

A 2005 graduate of ESM High School, Greg Galuski returned in 2009 to teach Earth Science and coach after earning education degrees from SUNY Plattsburgh. Coach Galuski began his career on the Spartan baseball staff as coach of the Freshman team prior to its merger with Junior Varsity.  He then assisted Coach Paul Taylor before taking over as the JV coach in 2013.  His interests go beyond the diamond, as he coaches weightroom in the fall and the Science Olympiad team in the winter.  When not working, Coach Galuski and his wife Katie enjoy cooking and spending time with family.

BRIAN YOUNG ('02), Modified "Orange" Coach

Brian Young graduated from ES-M in 2002, and he returned years later when he was hired as an elementary math specialist at Fremont Elementary in 2008 after graduating from Syracuse Univeristy. He began working as a volunteer coach with the baseball program in 2010 as a varsity assistant. He was later hired as a full coaching staff member in 2014, taking over the Modified Orange team. When not in the classroom or on the baseball diamond, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kara and trying to keep up with his young son Owen. Coach Young would like to thank Coach Herrington, Paul Taylor, and all of the other coaches with whom he has had the privilege of working over the years for their guidance and support and helping to cultivate his love of 3-6-3 double plays.

JOE GIGLIOTTI ('07), Modified "Blue" Coach

Joe Gigliotti graduated from ESM in 2007, and after receiving education degrees from Cortland State, he returned to the district in 2013 as an APE and health teacher. A member of ESM’s 2007 Section III championship team, he joined the Spartan coaching staff as a volunteer in 2013, and is now entering his second year as head coach of the Modified Blue team. When not at school or on the ball field, he is playing pick-up basketball and men’s softball and doing as much traveling as possible.
